Hobson’s Choice by Gregorian, 29 January 2015, 6 out of 8 people found this review helpful I am sure that Shimano buy this grease and just package it and sell it at an exorbitant price (over å£10 per 100 ml or 4 oz) The trouble is no-one will confidently recommend an alternative because the mechanism is intricate and the grease properties are said to be critical (and use of any other invalidates any guarantee.) If you have an Alfine, you are a prisoner of Shimano. It works but I am sure one could buy an equivalent at a fraction of the cost if one only knew where!
