High performance top quality functional bling by GGTBod, 12 September 2016, 11 out of 11 people found this review helpful We all love a bit of bling to personalize our bikes these days and this ticks all the boxes if you need some gold. It is even better when a bling upgrade is also an upgrade over the device it was replacing, nothing worse than doing a bling upgrade and finding the opposite to the point where it needs removed and replaced with the better functioning non bling part. I upgraded from the XT/SLX version of the Shimano HT2 BB system after getting 2 years of hassle free use out of the XT BB, installation was simplistic as expected and a straight swap with all spacers going exactly where they had been on the XT BB in my bikes 68mm BB shell. I recently converted my 3×9 XT Chainset to a single narrow wide ring, anyone wanting to do this might like to know that you need all 3 spacers to be on the drive side of the bottom bracket shell for proper chain alignment (with the narrow wide single ring installed where your middle ring used to be on the crank), once this is done you don’t even need a chain device, check the pics attached i’ve never dropped a chain once since the changeover combined with a clutch rear mech. Gotta love the bling especially when it is high performance bling, matching this up with the gold Hope retainer narrow wide and the kmc gold el chainand a clutch rear mech was the best thing i’ve done for this bike since mounting the Fox CTD forks on it Pros: simplistic easy installation high performance functional bling I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
