Worked great first time by Anonymous, 19 June 2011, 13 out of 13 people found this review helpful Having been skeptical about the whole tubeless thing for some time, I realised I hadn’t actually tried it myself to warrant knocking it as a system, so I took the opportunity to buy a set of Hope Hoops with NoTubes Flow rims. I bought this rim tape and fitted as shown on the YouTube vids (see the NoTubes website) and fitted some Nobby Nic Snakeskin 2.25″ tyres (not tubeless specific). After fitting the tyre with a tube, I left for a while to ensure the tape was well fitted, then I deflated, removed the tyre from one bead, removed the tube, installed Presta valves cut from old tubes, and refitted the rim with NoTubes sealant. The front I used one scoop, the rear I used two scoops to be sure. Both tyres inflated no problem with a track pump, and whilst they both hissed a little until I worked the sealant round, including sealing a puncture on the rear tyre, they have stayed up ever since. At time of writing I have three rides over two weeks on the setup and have no complaints whatsoever – it just worked like it should and so far, I’m pretty impressed. Best mod I’ve done to a bike in a long time. Now that I’m a believer, I’m looking forward to going tubeless on my XM719s… I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
It’s rim tape – does what it is supposed to by Odinson, 14 December 2015, 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful Works perfectly. My rims are 21mm wide internally and using 25mm tape allows for the tape to also cover the rim wall, providing a better seal.
