poor quality! by Bogstandard, 10 August 2014, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful The sealant is good stuff,but… had a rim strip fail around the valve which couldn’t be fixed ‘in the field’ and generally the whole kit is way,way overpriced! Do yourselves a favour and go ‘Ghetto Tubless’, as they say, you need some strong one inch wide gaffa tape (2x around the rim) a few scopes of sealant (stans is good) and a couple of old vale stems cut from old innertubes. an internet connection is also useful!!. Remember to use plenty of washing up liquid to get the tyres to slip there beads onto the rim and you’ll be laughing! Good luck! I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Not as easy as it could be… by Sonichedgehog, 19 October 2017, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Fitted the Kit to my Specialized Crave Pro with Stout XC wheels and Continental Xking Protection tyres. The main issue is with the rubber rim strip. No matter how I try, I cannot stop the tyre from dragging sections of the strip over the tyre rim upon inflation. I have followed the instructions and I just doesn’t work. Additionally the valves are already showing signed of pulling out of the rubber rim strip Compared to other manufacturers simpler systems (Gorilla tape, Valves and fluid) it is over complicated and expensive. With hindsight I wish I had bought a different system form a competitor. Pros: none Cons: doesn’t work expensive I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
