They worked well, for a while by Anonymous, 11 July 2010, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Great looking mudgaurds, they worked well until i snapped one of the front mudgaurd supports with my foot, as there is not much clearance between wheel and downtube on the bike. Then i managed to damage more bits of them taking wheels on and off and squeezing the bike in the back of cars, not being careful enough i suppose. They still stopped a lot of spray from the road as they got smashed up. Finally they were broken beyond any use when a car hit them. Nice looking and if your more careful than me with them they may suit. Great little attachment to frame design too. Stick with MK2 by LST888, 14 March 2018, 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful I always knew that Crud mudguards are very problematic if not installed correctly or even if you go through potholes and they shift a little and touch the tires. With Mk2 you could have adjusted the rubbers and you were good. Not ideal, but workable. These ones are simply awful. They are selling the concept of no install required, no rubbers needed, etc. In reality, the replacemet to rubbers are some gluey pads that may or may not stick ( or continue to be sticked) to your frame. The caveat is that if you got the placement off even by a few mm, your mudguards will touch the tires and good luck adjusting them after! Also, the front mudguard is composed of 2 pieces ( like in MK2) that ( as opposed to MK2, where they were screwed to each other) are glued. You can guess what happens. Please donÛªt waste your tour money on these. Stick with Crud MK2 if you want some thin, sleek mudguards. Those are decent. These are just a pain in the backside!
