Keep your feet dry – up to a point. by Anonymous, 7 April 2013, 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful I bought these about a year ago hoping for an improvement on my previous pair (different brand). Results were mixed. Ultimately, if you use these with cycling leggings in the rain, the water eventually wicks down into your shoes after about twenty minutes in heavy rain. Not bad, but my commute is 30 minutes, so I still get wet feet. The only solution would be to wear waterproof overtrousers to avoid the wicking. After a year they are now beginning to fall to pieces, but the waterproof material is still as sound as the day they were bought. Will I buy another pair? Probably. Good for light/medium duties by HeadfortheHills, 2 July 2014, 8 out of 11 people found this review helpful Quality: I’ve had these for about 3 years now, although I’m not a heavy user being in Australia. They are still in good condition, the toe is very strong, some of the stitching has come undone where the elastic attaches to the cover at the bottom, but the material hasn’t torn and the stitching is easy to re-sew. Waterproofishnesses: When the rain is heavy water will come in pretty quickly through the leg opening, strapping it tight works quite well but then the calf gets sore. Water will also soak up from below when standing on a wet surface, so waiting at the lights on tippy-toe is required. I think this is a symptom with any overshoe that takes cleats. In light rain and wet roads it will keep your tootsies dry for 30-60 mins depending on how careful you are and how wet the conditions are. Sizing: I use them on both a road bike shoe (Specialized) and MTB shoe (Shimano), both size 46. I bought the extra large as per the sizing chart, which is perfect for the road bike shoe. The MTB shoe has a chunkier sole so it has to stretch further over it. This causes strain on the overshoe but it hasn’t torn, just some minor stitching issues as mentioned above. Pros: lasting quality good value good in light/medium duties Cons: minor stitching issues wet shoes in 30-60 mins in heavy rain I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
