Bang, boing, done. by BrynXXX, 21 April 2016, 12 out of 12 people found this review helpful I have used this tool to remove the standard headset from my mountain bike and the semi-integrated one on my work bike, works like a charm! All that is required is a hammer! The tool is fed through the steerer tube, whereupon it engages (firmly) with the back of the headset cup, all you need then is a couple of hits with the hammer and out pops your old headset, simple! For installing your new headset I made a headset press using materials from a hardware store, all that’s needed is a 10mm threaded rod, some square 5cm washers and some nuts. You have to buy them all in bulk, but they are dirt cheap compared to a custom tool, and work in exactly the same way! The only other items needed are some grease and a suitable spanner (see attached pic!). Just take it slowly and keep things “centred” as you wind in. Good luck! PS: tip – don’t even contemplate using a hammer to instal your new cups! Pros: does the job I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Good tool, lowest price by Yoga, 15 August 2013, 9 out of 9 people found this review helpful You pay half of a price of removers from other brands, but quality is not compromised. Despite it is told, that you can use it for 1 1/8″ headsets, it perfectly works for 1.5″ ones too, tested that on two bikes. Pros: cheaper than competitors high build quality suits for 1.5″ headsets too I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
