Here are just a couple of interesting reviews that we picked out from verified customers:
Reasonable value for money by Trieshard, 27 July 2015, 10 out of 10 people found this review helpful A little disappointed on first inspection – both bearings were too tight, and could even feel lumps in the front one. Noticed that the end spindle had a run-out (had this on a previous bike and had to mark the spindle for alignment to stop disc rub). Thought about returning them but had the tyres, rotors etc to complete the build and really wanted to do that so decided to re-build both hubs. Hardest part was grinding up some old spanners to fit the cup nuts. Don’t know what grease Shimano use but it was sticky – replaced it with LM. Now have smooth free running spindles. The run-out mentioned earlier was on the opposite side to the rotor so no problems with disc rubbing. In their favour the spoke tension was pretty even and the rims ran true. Fitted 700c x 32c Gatorskin road tyres and continential lite tubes pumped to 65psi so now have a drop-in set of wheels into my MTB 29er for road use. Just come back from a first run and it flies in comparison. Very please in the end but shouldn’t have had to rebuild the hubs, hence the marking. Pros: generally good quality wheelset for the money rims run true spoke tension reasonably uniform Cons: poorly adjusted bearings sticky bearing grease I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Amazing value by LapierreXR529, 5 November 2016, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Bought these as training wheels but the quality would suggest they’d be good enough as race wheels! Running tubeless reads Maxxis tyres, they sealed first time and run super smooth Pros: value quality reliability Cons: none I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
