Solid seat, not too heavy, a little hard perhaps by Pies, 15 March 2015, 10 out of 13 people found this review helpful I’m a bigger guy and I broke my hollow titanium rail WTB seat after about three years riding so thought it was time to go back to Cromoly rails. This seat feels a lot more solid, less flex. It is slightly heavier and firmer but not by a lot, Im getting used to it pretty quick. Overall Happy. Pros: strong cromoly rails lighter than most entry level seats relatively cheap Cons: a bit heavier than titanum rails I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Quality product from WTB, but no good for my intended use by MTBrider69, 12 February 2017, 5 out of 7 people found this review helpful I’ve been looking for a saddle to use on my hardtail 29er so I can ride long distances, all day long. First I tried out the Volt. I could go about 60km before it really started to hurt, although I now use this saddle on my dual suspension all-mountain bike and it is fine (provided I use the pair of Funkier Force 10 panel liners I also bought from ChainReaction). I decided to give the Rocket Race a chance after reading that is is used by pro riders for long distance rides. The result:- not good. For me this saddle was okay up until the 60km mark again and even using the Funkier liner it hurt. The ride I did was 140km in length and I was out riding all day wearing a back pack. I had to stop a couple of times within the last 30km of getting home as the soreness on my sit bone areas was intense. Like the Volt, if you are riding all-mountain and you use a dropper post it would probably be fine, but I need a saddle for all day riding and this one just doesn’t work. Pros: well made as with all wtb saddles Cons: not suitable for long distance in my case I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
