Dura Ace? by lou2001elmo, 22 November 2016, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I bought these as I wanted a good quality cable system for an ageing Ultegra set up which was getting slack and needed tightening up along it’s operation. I found the outer cables and ferrules looking basic in quality and not the attention to detail you would find in a Shimano high end operating system. There is no mention to Dura Ace nor Ultegra on the packaging so i’m still unsure whether these were of Dura Ace quality or not, however they do work. Pros: they work Cons: is this the best? Not what it says on the tin by IanFaeAiberdeen, 13 July 2017, 3 out of 4 people found this review helpful In fact, it doesn’t say Dura Ace on the tin (packet actually) – just ‘Road Shift Cable Set’. The part number is Y60098022, which corresponds to the second grade, stainless steel cable without PTFE coating but with the same outer (SP41 lubricated) and sealed ends as the first quality parts. It’s available only in black. Chain Reaction are currently selling Green and Hi-Tech Grey PTFE cable sets for 50p more than I paid for this set – I should have gone for that instead but it’s too much hassle to return the cable set I bought.
