Bit different than my other 5-10’s by 650GS, 11 October 2016, 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful Have a couple different pairs of 5-10’s for flats, mainly because I have a pretty wide foot, & they were the widest shoes I could find. When I first got the Kestrels, I thought I was in trouble with the fit. They are not nearly as wide as the others, and at first were very uncomfortable. The good news is that they do break in if you stick with them. I’m guessing having a narrower fit for clipped in is intentional. Still not shoes that I’d care to walk a lot in, but I find I can ride all I care to with no comfort issues, after a couple weeks break in. Seem well built and installing, and positioning the cleats is easy, & straightforward. Again, my feet are wider than average, so shoe fit is always problematic for me. FYI, if width is an issue, the Shimano AM9’s have a decent width to them. Pros: well built durable Cons: narrower than i expected. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Well made shoes by bjag, 31 October 2016, 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful Nice quality as you’d expect for the price and from 5:10. For me the fit is a bit too narrow (compared to Shimano AM9) and tight if you have a high instep. They are also very stiff, a bit like xc race shoes.
