Just the right size, and brilliantly simple to use. by DrSbaitso, 13 June 2016, 6 out of 8 people found this review helpful I use it with cadence and pulse sensor, and can easily switch between the most useful displays. I use it only in direct mode (i.e. without cellphone pairing) and it works like a charm! Before ordering I was concerned it would be unnecessarily big, but I think the screen size is perfect to the point where I will now have trouble using smaller screens. A single button wakes the computer, and changes the display, which allows for a very clean design. The downside is that some functions are controlled by holding 1 or 3 seconds in different screens, which can be a bit confusing. Not enough for me to wish there were a second button, though. The price is high, although for the price the computer is very good. I use it with bontragers duo-trap speed/cadence sensor, and hence either have to pay for a speed/cadence sensor I don’t use, or buy the computer and pulse band separately which is almost exactly the same price. My main gripe is that there are no pulse limits or pulse limit indicators. This could easily have been added in software requiring no change to the controls or layout, and would have improved the computer greatly. A shame, but not quite a dealbreaker. I would have also liked the out-front bracket to have been included, which it is not. Pros: great legibility clean slim design plenty of functions in a clean display/interface Cons: no pulse limits or indicators a bit pricey I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
It does the job by aaron320, 28 November 2016, 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful The price is good, is easy to use, it does what it says it can do but i sold it to my mate in 2 weeks and bought the Garmin. If you need speed meter, these Cateye is an economical option to get start with but if you need serious data for your training and sharing, you might want to spend more on a Garmin.
