Simple elegant barrel adjuster that works best among the others by mlok, 4 May 2016, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I have been regularly replacing my brake and gear cables and so i have been looking at several other brands of barrel adjuster to mix and match with my color scheme. After trying so many different types and brands i still find this particular type to be working the best. Firstly i found the design to be rather elegant and the barrel mechanism works very well. Some others are difficult to turn which makes fine tuning your gears indexing difficult. Second there is a wide choice of color to match your cable and bike color which is great. And for the price this is a great value too. Thirdly, the mechanism is so reliable. Does not do the job it was designed for by mountainchicken, 6 February 2018 Not sure why my experience was different to others. The inline adjuster was easy to install but as others mentioned there were no instructions so less experienced may have issues. The main problem is slipping. The adjuster does not stay adjusted. I use it to index the gears but two days later it has slipped and I have to adjust again. This repeats after two or three days. I am going to buy some other brand which might prove more reliable.
