Great tyre for the price by Harbourdasher, 19 October 2013, 11 out of 11 people found this review helpful My first impression of these tyres when I fitted them to my carbon hardtail was that they were very narrow so I pumped them up hard to avoid pinch punctures. They weigh in at about 660g each so not too heavy for a wire tyre and alot lighter than other brands.They hook up on pretty much anything you ride over. I`ve gone through thick mud, sand, flint, firetrack and tarmac and they do hang on even in the corners. As with a previous review the pressure you run them at makes a difference,I`ve lowered mine to about 30psi and the grip is amazing and I`ve had not flats as yet. All in all a great tyre! April 2014 – Micheline Country Cross 1.95 Front & Rear Directional (@45psi) by NorthWalian, 20 April 2014, 12 out of 13 people found this review helpful Used these recently at a predominantly dry Llandegla trial center (black & red runs) hence hardpack, loose gravel and mild flat rocks. Wasnt sure how these would perform at 1.95 but hey ho it was a last minute plan so left them on the bike. On traction and braking in a straight line and on the turn I cannot fault. On two slight muddy sections they dug in and once rolling shed mud impressively. On the flat rocks they gripped well although with their low (1.95) volume and trim carcass they might not like sharp rock conditions, as wont your rims. Since then I’ve been out doing my usual cross country (dry and damp lanes, fields, woods) plus some A road tarmac and they got a thumbs up. Cannot comment on wear rates just yet or how they are all round in torrential rain. I was expecting some punctures as between knobbles there’s oodles of flat rubber open to thorns etc but had none to date. All in abut 100 miles of usage between dry, moist trial center and cross country and fair to say a tremendous tyre for the monies.
