Excellent Grippy Value Tyre by BigApe, 12 November 2013, 7 out of 9 people found this review helpful I was thinking of trying some new tyres in the wet, claggy muddy trails that are local, after wearing down the standard Maxxis Advantage tyres (which were ok), and coming off a few on muddy, leafy trails), I thought I’d try this at little of å£13 each. After taking them for their first run in the Forest of Dean (my first time there too# I was pleased that they held better than expected, you find that they’ll slide a little and then grip. This takes a bit of getting used to but it’s controllable. They hold well and grip over roots and rocks better than the Maxxis Advantage, the plug through mud well and shed it easily. They size up differently to others. These 2.3″ are the same as Maxxis 2.25″. Not much difference, but Continental measure their tyres differently to others #Sidewall to Sidewall I believe, rather than across the tread, or vice versa) so they do come up slightly slimmer. The only question – why do they mould spider webs into the tyre?! On hard pack, rocks, loose mud, roots and leaves they perform well, not tried on Tarmac yet. For the money, they’re definitely worth a go! Tread blocks are numerous and pronounced which helps with the grip on the softer stuff. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

A solid economical all around tire. by BennyTRD, 23 August 2015, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful Been using these tires for a while now and continue to enjoy them. Really decent grip in loose sand, hardpack, and soft soil. Have them mounted on an XC bike that see’s all sorts of terrain and haven’t found a fault with them yet.
