Impressive by Sam1996, 17 March 2016, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful Bought this from another website (sorry CRC!) but have been seriously impressed with it. Went over a double at high speed with it and i went OTB. My head hit the downslope on the other side of the jump. Apart from a few bits of mud and a couple of scratches, the helmet was fine! (and so was I) Aside to that, the ventilation is surprisingly good considering the amount of coverage. the pads are a bit thin though which does equate to getting a bit too sweaty on hot days. On my early morning commute though, I sometimes feel like an icecream with the cold air rushing over my head. but that’s on cold and frosty mornings. the straps are fine once you have set them up properly. the simple head tensioning mechanism is good too. Sizing is a little on the large side though… Overall, a great all-year round option but i will consider getting a Bell Super next time as it offers better ventilation and protection. Good option, has a few issues by Hickster77, 6 April 2016, 3 out of 5 people found this review helpful This is a review for the 2014 version that I am about to retire, however it is identical to the 2016 apart from graphics. The fit is good for me (not as slim as a MET but not as wide as Giro), straps are easy to keep out of the way and adjust. Retention system is unobtrusive and effective. Don’t be put off by the look of the top vents, the brow section does all the work- ice cold at speed (unless you block them off with goggles) and reasonable when climbing. Its a tough little unit, and resists general wear and tear well. Construction feels very solid (still after a season and a half use). Not had any major high force crashes in it but i have noticed it tends to slide well of of trees/ branches and the ground without catching; an issue I’ve had with other helmets (Giro Hex for example). Although the slippery shape divides opinion on styling it does seem to be useful in this regard. My main gripe is with the very short non adjustable peak, which though usefully out of the way in a crash and adding to the overall lightness and aerodynamics of the helmet, is not good at keeping weather out of your face. To the extent that I have had to tape another peak or a goggle lense to the end several times to avoid getting a face full. Not ideal, it would be nice if they had a long and short peak option. It is also difficult to mount lights to; I had to resort to an adhesive GoPro helmet mount- also not ideal. Pros: great coverage great ventilation lighter than the super Cons: odd looks very small peak no light mounts I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
