attractive price, does the job by cupferdach, 13 October 2015, 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful Bought this because wanted something cheap after changing frame with differnt diameter and unsure about keeping it. The post isn’t too bad for the price but *bolt quality is poor, already start rusting * seat angle adjustement is not enough to have the seat horizontal using it on a bike with slightly actual slack seat angle ( GG megatrail). the angle is far from super slack so forget this post if you plan using it on a DH bike where seat angle often are quite slack. Solved this by filling down some material on the seatpost head. Other than that no issues, no sleepage or bending (I’m not heavy and getting old so leaving stunts for young guns). i use a QR clamp to adjust height as the bike is nainly used for shuttling, no pedaling and the black finish holds up well. Difficult to beat for the price but the details are not well executed as let say a Thomson. If on a budget or not mind not having a pimp product it’s a perfect piece. Shattered! by kwith, 10 February 2018, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful When first fitting the seatpost to my bike and tightening the saddle clamps, the seatpost clamp shattered. Nothing was over-tightened – I used a new Effetto Mariposa torque wrench, set to 10Nm – the screws are marked 12Nm, and the wrench hadn’t even reached that point. I’m just glad it shattered on fitting as it’d have been extremely dangerous on the road. It’s a bargain but it seems QC isn’t what it could be.
