Excellent brakset for a backup bike by GIlling, 26 May 2018 I bought these brakes to replace the old style Campag Record brakes on my elderly Benotto, circa 1979. These brakes are clearly Campagnolo quality, in spite of their low-middle target price, and meant to compete with Ultegra. A few things to note: – There is no quick release, which may be an issue with older Campag brake levers (they don’t have QR either). Set the adjusters so that you can back them out enough to allow a tire to be changed – Orbital-mount brake pads make adjustment easy – A screw on the inner arm allows fine arm balancing to get the pads equidistant from the rim – A lot simpler to get the pads set up correctly than the old Record brakes, which were pretty much impossible – The inner arm isn’t polished, an obvious cost-cutting measure – You get a lot of product for a very reasonable amount of money I found the braking performance significantly better than my old Record brakes, which are old technology and had pretty marginal performance. Pros: very easy to set up and adjust excellent braking performance Cons: finish I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
