They do need re-greasing every now and then [when they start to creak a little] and they certainly don’t last if water gets in and stays there. While it does need special tools to pull the bearings off their shafts, it’s relatively easy to take the campagnolo BB apart to check and re-grease the bearings. Contrary to most advice you’ll google online, it’s usually possible to wiggle the two halves of the crank assembly apart without an expensive puller. The ability to re-grease Campag. BB bearings depends on the type of seal used in the bearing. Some are easier to remove and replace than others. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
