Good Wheelset by Brad72, 7 August 2015, 3 out of 5 people found this review helpful I bought these wheels to replace the Shimano WH-R550 which really didn’t roll that well and were pretty heavy. Well the Campy Vento’s fitted the bill perfectly without breaking the bank. They are fast rolling, accelerate nicely, look good and have improved my Strava times on all segments. I cannot notice any flex when putting the power down which is great for a lighter wheelset. The flat spokes give a nice suptle sound when cutting through the air at speed and I now love the sound of the campy freewheel hub. The only problem I had was there was a brake pulse/shudder which was most noticeable on the front wheel due to the flex in the forks. This was due to the spoke tensions being uneven causing small bulges in the rim. I contacted CRC and there customer service was excellent, approving the wheel to be sent to a local wheel builder to be re-tensioned and trued under warranty. The wheels are now perfect and I was only without them for 24 hours. It’s a pity Campagnolo didn’t ensure the wheels didn’t leave the factory like this but in these days of mass production I guess some will slip through the cracks Pros: lightweight fast rolling accelerate nicely look good Cons: needed to be trued as spoke tension was off I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
This product is great. by Kingson, 3 November 2015 The wheel is strong and light even those are aluminium alloy. I use it on my road bike 11-speed and it matches perfectly.
