Lousy for Sram Road Shifters by motownrock, 7 May 2015, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful The cables seem to have a slightly wider diameter than standard Sram gear cables making it harder to go thread through the tight bend in the Rival/Force/Red Doubletap shifter. The “Universal” design adds to the installation challenge because you must cut off then end you don’t need. Even with a new, sharp cable cutter, Clark’s frays too easily. I’ve heard that soldering the cut end can help — but you shouldn’t need a solder gun to replace a derailleur cable. Clark’s doesn’t actually provide info on the cable diameter (maybe 1.2 mm vs. 1.1mm standard?) which suggests inconsistent manufacturing standards and quality. Seems to work for some other reviewers, but I’d stay away if you have Sram road shifters Pros: universal design Cons: too wide frays easily I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
