Good cheap brakeset by Nicknamehayta, 17 December 2013, 9 out of 9 people found this review helpful I have been using the larger skeletal on my single speed – no drag, lots of power and no complaints from me. Just got the exo version to put on the front and replace a worn out Shimano caliper. Actual weights for the 160 front setup are: * Caliper and included IS adaptor bracket 150g * Lever and MC 131g * System including hose but without disc 297g. * Included 160mm fixed disc 131g. So your total weight inc. disc is under 430g and a bit less if you have post mounts. Points to note: * This is an OEM pack, not the retail packaged Clarks where IIRC you get a spare set of pads and a box to keep the whole system in. * These come pre-bled and ready to mount but be prepared to re-bleed. My Skeletals actually had too high a fluid level and locked on. Once I sorted this they were brilliant. * The instructions say the caliper is NOT rebuildable. I suppose for 27 quid why pay for a piston and seals, but still if you ride in poor conditions lots of brake cleaner will be needed. * Disc is your basic die cut steel jobbie but does at least have min. thickness etched on.
