Promising but soon dissapointing by Kernowdreamer, 8 August 2015, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful This set looks amazing value for money, containing everything you need from lever to brake blocks, front and rear. Alas, it all starts to go wrong from there. The cables were too tightly wound and kinked when unravelled so were unsable. Even when set up with new cables the response was poor and power lacking. The small levers feel like a quality item but there is some leverage mis-match somewhere as the pull required is long – accentuated by the power absorbing flex. You could excuse this on a child’s bike perhaps, where max power is never required but, after a few weeks use the spring tension dropped away alarmingly and I found the cause to be the spring wires fouling on the brake block spacers. Poor design, pure and simple. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Great value by Skyway, 4 June 2015, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful Put these on one of my kids bikes. Pack contains everything you need including inner/outer cables and noodles. Agree that there is an initial sponginess which appears to be due to the soft brake blocks however once everything had bedded in this was less noticeable as significantly less lever effort is required to get lock up. Overall good balance between price and quality. Pros: value nothing else required Cons: initially somewhat spongy feel I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
