Good no-nonsense guide pipe for v brakes by BathJaney, 15 August 2015, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful This is a a great way to breathe some life back into some sluggish braking system. Often we change the cables inner & outer but neglect upgrading the guide pipe, where in my experience a fair chunk of the friction lies. The Clark version gives you a quick easy upgrade at minimal cost which will make your steed feel like new again. Very easy to fit – just pull the old one off & slide the new one on – that simple. The only thing to check is that you buy the right angle – this is best done by digging out that school protractor!! Too small for Shimano cable by Traileur, 2 December 2015, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful I bought these along with the Shimano replacement brake cable set. I could not get the cable in at first, it was a very tight fit. Eventually I managed it, but then the cable would not get past the bend. I gave up at that point and returned the items. In the past, I have used Avid noodles with the Shimano cable set with no problems. I can’t rate the performance as I did not use them. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
