Best tyre, worst shipping to Canada by JBJ18, 3 July 2015, 184 out of 209 people found this review helpful I have tried many a rubber hoop..and for ultra distance this one stands the test. I am very disappointed though with the change in shipping policy that CRC has chosen. In the past my goods to Canada would be sent by mail. Sometimes they would get to my house with no other charges. Sometime though I would need to pay tax…which is just fine as the prices were so good. BUT now with DHL as the courier we are forced to use, ALL orders get charged tax and all orders get charged a DHL broker fee which added an additional 17 dollars to the order plus the 9.99 shipping cost = ~27 dollars on top of the tyre price!!!. So no longer will I buy from CRC unless they give a regular mail option. Many of CRC’s competitors in the UK and abroad offer a regular mail service and their pricing is competitive with CRC. Great commuters by naturalnetworks, 14 June 2014, 41 out of 43 people found this review helpful I purchased a pair of Continental Gatorskin 700x28c tyres for the commute to work on the CX bike. When I was researching tyres for commuting the popular questions were how often do they puncture and how do they wear. So here is my contribution – 950km distance, 90psi front, 95psi rear, gross weight 91kg. Rims are 17mm wide (internal). I’ve had one puncture and that was a big nasty really sharp shard of headlight glass so I’m not disappointed.åÊ Pictures show the wear – hardly any afaic. The majority of road has been the typical low grade bitumen non-thoroughfare type.
