Inconsistent by Neezurt, 17 May 2014, 24 out of 29 people found this review helpful Used in conjunction with (mainly) Schwalbe One and (more recently) Conti GP4000S, I’ve not picked up any punctures through ‘objects’ – but that could well be the tyres, both brands of which have been good in respect of flats. However… I’ve now had four tubes (all 42mm valve) which I think are suspect. One leached air at around 5psi/day. One had a valve which let go – the inner pulled out and wouldn’t seal properly again, no matter how much I tried. And I’ve had two which have simply split with a tear about 1mm long. Interestingly both of those ‘blew’ on the rim side of the tube, not the tyre side – and in both cases, there was nothing in the rim well that could have caused it; the rim tape looked fine.(And it clearly wasn’t a tyre-piercing puncture.) The one that let go today I repaired roadside… but when I started pumping it up, the main body of the valve simply snapped in two! (I had to call my wife out as don’t carry a spare tube.) Enough’s enough. I’m going to try another brand now. The consistency of manufacture just isn’t good enough to rely on. Even at CRC’s prices, I feel like I’m playing Russian roulette.
