Terrible design, avoid at all costs by Mykola31, 30 April 2015, 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful TLDR: Buy a Thomson instead… or anything else for that matter. This seatpost has AMAZING build and finish quality… Not to mention the very light weight. But here’s the problem: EVERY bad thing you’ve heard about this seatpost is ABSOLUTELY true. I’ve had it for two years and have finally given up on it completely. The clamp design is inherently inferior to pretty much EVERY seatpost on the market. It’s designed in a way that just won’t work properly unless miraculously your seat manages to match the inner diameter of the clamp by microns. Guess what, it most likely won’t. I was using it with a Selle Italia Flite 1990, not exactly a novel saddle, with standard rails. No matter what you do with it, no matter how incredibly hard you tighten up the screw, the saddle will still slip. Sometimes a millimeter or two after one ride, sometimes it’ll just slip to the absolute edge of the rails… If that isn’t enough to turn you away from it, it has another flaw, stemming from the fact that you have to tighten the bolt up to insane torque for the seatpost to even work. At least one of the clamps will most definitely seize to the seatpost head. Meaning, if you want to change saddle angle later, you’ll need to literally use a mallet to actually remove the seized clamp and start again. Bottom line is, please avoid this product, do not be fooled by sale prices like I was ‰ÛÒ chances are, you’ll end up paying more for another seatpost soon. Spend a few extra pounds and buy a Thomson Elite, which is just as light but has bombproof design. Actually, you can just save yourself the trouble and just buy a Brand-X seatpost and it STILL will work better than this one. Pros: looks good lightweight Cons: absolutely useless does not hold the saddle no matter what you do changing seat angle is a pain in the back needs torque so high you might just strip the bolt I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Fantastic Value by NoelG, 1 May 2014, 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful Took a gamble on this at å£30 given some of the reviews but have had no problems once fitted. It’s not your ordinary clamp design but tightened properly its rock solid. I’m using this on my road/commute bike so wont be getting too much hammer. Now at å£23.99 its a steal! Pros: looks lightweight I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
