Get SPD’s by Anonymous, 25 April 2012, 12 out of 12 people found this review helpful As a MTB guide in NZ I need strong pedals, these are not! Bearings replaced after 6 weeks hard riding, no river crossings either. Then second set replaced after 8 more weeks. Going back to SPD, no bling factor like the CB’s but they work! Awful bearings/seals by Anonymous, 21 June 2013, 14 out of 15 people found this review helpful I’ve owned a few sets of clips, and I really like the clipping in/out mechanism of the mallets and they do feel like flats because of the cage. However, the bearings are crap and mine had a lot of play after only a few weeks of on/off riding. Very recently the outer bearing completely disintegrated leading to the whole pedal sliding off the spline. This was only after around 600 trail miles. In short, they feel great, but don’t last.
