Quality budget bars by ChrispyVet, 23 August 2016, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful These were bought to put on my wife’s bike. She has small hands, rides campag, so has the problem of reaching the levers when on the drops. To be honest this is more of a campag problem than one of bars, but the Deda shape does close the gap between the apex of the drops and the closest point of the levers. Bargain price but plenty stiff enough for her, and probably most people truth be known. Well finished quality bar Pros: short reach and drop I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful

Great bars by ThisTookPlaceInHamOnt, 12 July 2015, 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful I ride an All-City Thunderdome and had low risers on for a while and wanted to jump on some compact drops for some more hand positions for longer rides (80km or so). Put the bars on and the first impression of them was that they felt a little flexy especially when really pulling on the drops but now I don’t even notice it. I guess I just never noticed any flex in any previous bars so it was an unfamiliar feeling. I’m assuming some of this flex has to do with the price point of the bars. The bars have a great shape to them. The drops are in a great position and the flats are super comfy for just cruising along. I’ve found that I really like riding on the hoods even though I don’t have brake hoods (just a cross brake for the front). It feels great all around and super stable for skidding. I might have gone with a bit of a wider bar to have made the flats a bit more comfy for skidding but that could be partly my inexperience or just not pushing things too hard cause I’m 32. Since I don’t have brake hoods and the hoods on the bars are minimal, I find it a bit hard on the hands for bumps but perhaps I’m gripping things too hard. Regardless, I still find myself either reaching for the hoods or dropping low and sprinting. I don’t think I could be happier with them. They look way better than I deserve as well. Even though the middle is the gloss, they make things look legit. Something about the low risers on this bike never fit. They always made me feel like I was trying to ride a bmx bike like I used to ride. If you’re looking for your first set of compact drops and want to try that egg shape on the flats, don’t look any further. They’re great and if you don’t like them, I bet your friend will gladly take them off your hands. Pros: shape price aesthetics Cons: hoods a bit hard on the hands without brake hoods I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
