So I decided to stick with the brand. First thing I notice is that even though the material is labeled the same for the upper for old Vortex Pro and Vortex Comp Carbon. The Vortex Comp Carbon upper material is softer. I hope the change is for lighter and stronger material and not for saving manufacturing cost. I recommend not to buy a size larger. I bought a half a size larger like my older Diadora but since the material change the fit is looser on the heel. Overall I like this shoe with its sleek and not bulky design. Great Quality but requires serious breaking in by Jbythesea, 1 February 2018, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful First time I’ve used diadora, out of the box looked great quality and the sale price was a real bonus to get the upgraded features, love the boa system. Light, good stiff sole and replaceable heel too. However, the toe box on one shoe was seriously tiny. I’d say many would need a half-size up from normal. I use a larger shoe tree to open them up and in time break them into shape. Pros: boa system good finish Cons: sizing all over the place. instep appears to be a wear point I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
