Axe BB is great on my steel frame DJ by J0el, 15 January 2018 I have found that the Axe BB is great on my steel frame DJ, I was going through BMX style bottom bracket bearings at an alarming rate, about one a month. Most Mountain bike bottom brackets don’t allow for a small enough front cog for DJ but with the AXE I can run 26 tooth which makes for good single speed configurations while keeping the front chain ring out of trouble since it is nice and compact. Also it is Tough , Strong , Light and SIlky smooth. Tried the same cranks on an Alu frame Norco but that didn’t work out, really bad creaking, seems to be a bit of a dark art matching bike/bottom bracket combos but for the steel frame DJ bike it is A1 !! I get a year of really hard riding out of these bearings on the DJ bike. Pros: amazing for steel frame dj bike tough strong light and silky smooth. Cons: not so good in my al frame norco I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
