Very easy to fit and so far so good by Digs, 18 June 2017, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful My first venture into tubeless. Fitting the rim tape onto a tubeless-ready rim was easy enough – clean with a rag, degrease with kitchen roll soaked in white spirit, dry with with more kitchen roll and ready to (un)roll. I fitted one bead of a Continental X-King and then pointed my phone at the barcode on the instructions. 2 minutes later the app had downloaded, I’d plugged in the dimensions of my tyre and it’d told me to pour 60ml of latex goo in. Easy! Isn’t modern technology wonderful? Fitting the other bead without ending up with latex everywhere wasn’t as easy as fitting a tyre normally, but on it went with little faffing. The tyre then seated immediately with a blast from the track pump and stayed up overnight. At some point the next morning however, it flatted for no obvious reason. I re-inflated it and took the bike for a 10 mile ride with no problems. Reading more since, the latex foams on use, so I should have battered up and down the road a few times last night instead of merely spinning the wheel a few times. So all in all, looks promising. Assuming it doesn’t fail on the next ride, I reckon I’ll be converting other bikes as tyres fail and need replacing. Not installed yet! by Jonathan954, 15 February 2017 I watched the you tube instructions and it looks easy enough! However, when you take the valve core out, the pump wont attach (without the core in place) unable to inflate the tyre with a track pump, so waiting to try it with an airline at a tyre depot (garage forecourt inflater is no good either). There is no calibrated syringe pump type thing included with the kit (as shown in the video)….why not if it is necessary! Trusting that when I finally get it all sorted will be an improvement over inner tubes. Pros: saves changing tubes in the mud Cons: what if the tyre deflates?
