Looks deadly, but only for so long. Might be steel but still marks bottles. by XYZW, 12 March 2016, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful This cage has a classic look and works more or less okay (would not recommend it for MTB as I kept loosing my bottle) – for road use it is suitable. The actual cage does not have the “ELITE” text on the left stem, both stems are blank. My issue is that I have partly chosen this product not to mark the bottles I use, as they start to look nasty after a while. This one still marks them, however not as badly, and with some nail brush and soap it is easy to get rid of the grey stripes left on the bottle. The other (minor) problem with it is that the silver reflective coating (in the middle of the copper button – on the photo it looks darkish) came off – and I haven’t an idea how. It’s not very obvious as the plastic underneath is white, but still, this is a 30 quid bottle cage. Pros: looks deadly not too heavy Cons: still marks bottles reflective coating on button came off does not look exactly like on pic I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
