Comfy ride once you have the position set up right. by Dennis61, 18 March 2014, 9 out of 9 people found this review helpful I bought a set of these Ergon grips for my Giant Rapid 3 as I was forever getting pains in my hands and wrists, no matter how long the ride was. You have to spend a little time getting them set in the position you want, but once you have done that I find them a great help overall – and much, much better than the grips that came fitted with my bike. I find these Ergon grips take a lot of the buzz from from the handlebars from riding on rougher road surfaces as well, and having the bars ends fitted also helps a lot on hills. Thoroughly recommended to anyone using flat bars, be it on a hybrid, MTB or flat bar road bike like my Giant. Pros: comfort quality brand looks Cons: time to set them up correctly. Wondering about GP2 vs GP3? Thinking of saving a couple of pounds? by JPhoo, 20 June 2017, 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful I had a GP2 installed on my old bike and now I have the GP3 installed on my current bike. I have to say the GP3 is more comfortable. The stems that project forward are longer and thus are more to hold on to (my hands were less likely to slip, especially when tired and/or when hands are wet). The materials used to make both the GP2 and GP3 are excellent and hardy – took some bashing during the careless handling of my bikes and survived well. The main problem I had while ordering was to decipher Large vs Small Gripshift, Rohloff/Nexus or Standard Took a bit of googling to get the answers. Perhaps a picture that summarises the differences could be added to the product photos. Also, for those with slim profile, barely visible bicycle bells, you might want to consider getting the Rohloff/Nexus or Gripshift option (they have a shorter stem). This gives you a gap to install the bell so that it is right next to your thumb should you need to warn pedestrians of your approach. I wish I did. Pros: very comfortable I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
