Press fit bottom brackets are great by OaADave, 28 February 2016, 7 out of 8 people found this review helpful 20 quid and you just bang the old one out and press the new one in. There’s loads of cheap presses out there and I imagine any of them will do. I removed the old one in double quick time with an X Tools headset cup remover. I’ve never suffered any creaking with BB30/PF30 bottom brackets, maybe I’m just lucky. Longevity in wet conditions is always another issue that people seem to have but I just smear loads of white lithium grease round the outside of the bearings and then on the outer seals too (just when I’m fittiing a new BB). Got nearly 4000 miles out of the last one and that includes regular riding in all weathers (winter commuting etc.). So cheap and easy to fit a new one that it’s become just another consumable, like brake blocks and chains!! I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
