Hope … it would have lasted longer by santacruzguy, 17 July 2018 Bought this casette to upgrade the Santa Cruz to 11 speed around a year ago, always happy with Hope products and it worked out less expense than going Eagle. Married this up to a Sram GX mech and oval chainring (original XT mech didnt mate well) All was honky dory, seemed a great choice. Swapped the chain a year later though to ensure it lasted a fair while and immediately found clunking shifting so had to plonk the old chain back on, rather alarmed its only worn for one year, although shifting is still clean, any steep hill or acceleration is met with noticable drivetrain noise now. Maybe Eagle Gx is my next choice BUT need to buy ANOTHER different freehub again ! Pros: lightweight flawless shifting mates with sram gx mech Cons: xt mech no good need a specific freehub only lasted a year! I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Excellent product as expected from Hope by Gary33, 10 June 2018 Great product, only thing is with the 44 tooth option I struggled to find a rear derailleur that was compatible as most are rated 42 tooth unless you want to spend lots on one. If youÛªre going for the 44 tooth make sure you check your derailleur first. As for the product itÛªs the usual standard expected from hope, machined perfectly, fits perfectly with the hope hubs and freewheel. I was concerned after purchase as I saw some reviews saying they wear quickly, after the initial setup and a few rides I cannot see any signs of wear so in my opinion well worth the money.
