What more can you ask for in craftsman ship, exceptionally well made product, and gives any bike that extra edge. Fit peferct, slide straight on with no effort needed not like most brands out there! bad bolts! by CJTrials, 12 August 2015, 10 out of 12 people found this review helpful The first grips I received looked great, the green color is slightly transparent and the neon green really stands out. the issue is with the shallow weak allen bolts used to secure these grips.I used a bicycle specific torque wrench with a brand new 2.5mm allen key head and set the torque to 3 N/m. the allen bolts head is very shallow making it almost impossible to get to the specified torque without rounding the head off and one of the bolts sheered in half before reaching torque rendering the grip useless, I contacted CRC right away and they sent me out a new set, I found replacement bolts that fit the thread at a local bolt supply and they worked much better. I didn’t want to take a chance with the hope supplied bolts again. I was very disappointed in the bolts, I have other Hope products on my bike and wouldn’t ever dream that they would let something like this slip by in their testing of a product. There are 4 bolts that hold these onto the bike you would think they would have made it a priority to be sure that this would not be a point of failure for the product. and at this price it is unacceptable for the product to fail during the installation process. Now that I have the grips securely fastened to the bike with aftermarket bolts the grips perform great and look good too. I like the feel of the grip and they truly offer quite a lot of grip in any situation (I wear gloves), i would give there grips a raving review if only they used proper bolts! Pros: look good plenty of grip Cons: bolts break and round off not up to hope quality standards I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
