Powerful stoppers, reliable performance and easy maintenance by AndyDH, 5 February 2016, 21 out of 22 people found this review helpful Having had these brakes for 8 months now I can say I am still amazed how good they are! Had them fitted to a demo 8 with standard discs(not the double vented) and ridden hard in the Alps in the summer, then finished off the season with a steady stream of races and they have been faultless. The power on tap is huge, yet they have great modulation. They came with spare barbs and olives, but you can reuse the old ones first, which I did as I cut the hoses down to fit my bike. It’s an easy job, I would recommend it to anyone to do as long as you have good cutters. Bleeding is doddle (compared to Avid/SRAM) and only bled them once this year when I switched them onto my new bike. Everyone who has a spin on my bike comments how good they are. Some people say they are heavy, well they might be a little heavier than some brakes out there but if your not massively fussed on carbon levers or saving a couple of grams invest in these. *a friend is still racing nationals on a 11 year old set of hopes and they are still going strong! Pros: great feel and modulation really powerful great lever ergonomics Cons: slightly heavier than some brakes I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Overall best brakes I’ve ever used. As I’m a bigger rider I run them on my DH and Enduro bikes by Harro, 14 April 2017, 8 out of 8 people found this review helpful Great quality built product that looks as good as they work. Unbeatable stopping power with loads of adjustments to get the feel you like at the lever. Bought them on sale which made them even more appealing!!
