It is still cheaper than buying all of the small components that go with the beads separately. The kit is meant for road race bikes with drop handlebars and so has three aluminium beaded segments and associated hardware for gear setup but I have used the beaded runs as cable to dropper seatposts on my mountain bikes, where they are highly flexible and robust, plus I now have all the high quality left over ferules, line, tube-tops, indexers etc. as spares.
