Slick, Smooth, and Precise shifting by JohnnyA, 21 July 2016, 7 out of 7 people found this review helpful The cable routing on my Orbea Orca is challenging, to say the least. It was designed specifically for the Gore Ride On system, but as I was not able to source one when I built up the bike I was making do with my own solution, resulting in mis-shifting and clunky unreliable gears, especially on the rear. I decided enough was enough and ordered this product. All I can say is it was well worth it. It went straight in through the cable guides no problem and has resulted in amazing gear shifts that are smooth, fast, light, and precise. I wish I’d installed this kit ages ago, as it now feels like the sort of bike Orbea intended it to be. The long term reliability can’t be judged yet but the quality of the manufacturing is clear to see, and a lot of thought has gone into the design of it all. Highly recommended if you want to treat yourself and your bike to a massive upgrade that you will feel the benefit of. I still think the designers of modern frames need the sack though, but at least I am now happy with my bike. Take your time installing it all and watch the youtube tutorial first. Great slick shifting by Jimbo1966, 25 November 2017, 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful My GT Grade gravel bike 1×11 has a single sealed gear cable and I’ve had issues with shifting with it since I’ve had it. The bike has SRAM Rival hydraulic shiters which are notorious for shifting issues if there is a mere whiff of cable drag. After changing cables several times I was getting despondent about it. Losing top… Inconsistent shifting… Etc. I fitted a Jagwire Elite cable and instantly the bike is like new again and most, if not all, of the shifting issues have gone. The cables, inner and outer, are impressive quality, you get all the fittings you need…everything is high quality, an in line adjuster is included, the instructions are clear and the results fantastic. Be aware that the main cable outer is 5mm diameter (I had no issues but you should check your bike) and for the price I would have liked two lengths of outer cable) but overall…fantastic! Pros: superb slick shifting high quality Cons: expensive could do with another length of outer cable I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
