However, if you have a limited budget, have a lot of bikes to build or repair or are working to non standard specifications, then making up your own cable lengths is a better approach. Lifeline outer cables are of the excellent quality I require but at a sensible, reasonable price. This 5mm outer diameter brake outer cable is no exception, having good compression resistance and stiffness for effective brake response and smooth routing. In use it has proved long lasting and trouble free. Everything I need from outer cable at a bargain price. Lifeline also make and sell appropriate ferrules for the cable ends in this size, again at a reasonable price. Pros: great quality and performance low cost versatility in application Cons: needs proper cable cutters to cut it I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
