Excellent budget fat tires by Tsuru, 11 July 2017 I managed to snag a pair of these while they were in stock. They are now listed as clearance so I’m not sure if CRC will be bringing them back. I’m running these on a Rocky Mountain Blizzard with 100mm rims. Stock tires on the bike were 4.5″ Kenda Juggernauts. Compared to the Juggernauts the 4.8″ Colossus are a slight bit slimmer when first mounted. When they have a chance to stretch I imagine they will end up being the same size. The tread pattern of the Colossus has nice deep knobs for traction in snow and mud but the the knobs down the middle of the tire are placed close together so that on tarmac the rolling resistance is kept to a minimum. Self-steer is minimal even at 6psi with tubes. I did have some trouble trying to get the tires mounted correctly on the bead. Even with copious amounts of soapy water the bead would slip down in one spot. After several tried I managed to get it to go but I haven’t had this much trouble with a fat tire before. This occurred with both tires. The tires come packaged in a reusable draw-closure bag. I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
