Two in one budget bargain by Dreddi, 27 April 2017, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful I found myself needing/wanting to replace road and MTB helmets at the same time on a tight budget. Much to my surprise my trawling didn’t find any good options, even at higher budgets. Helmets seem to have become very discipline specific and many budget options just don’t have sufficient style for someone wanting to be taken seriously, at least to the unknowing! Then I found the MET Crossover, budget price, looks OK, removable peak, lots of verbiage about features…let’s give it a go. Very impressed straight out of the box and onto the road (actually a velodrome!). Shape is personal but this fitted my smallish narrow head perfectly and there seems to be a wide range of adjustment. The dial at the back works smoothly and allows easy fining tuning on the move whilst the built in flashing rear light is a nice touch, though of course of limited brightness. The peak clips on nice and easily for a change of discipline. Ventilation has proved excellent so far but have only trialed it in cool conditions. My only concern is how the nice looking matt finish is going to fair with some mud spatter on it! Pros: removable peak easy adjustment built in rear flasher Cons: matt finish may soak up the mud I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
