Extremely simple to install depending on your drivetrain. For me, I didn’t even need to take my cranks apart since I had easy access to the ISCG mount on my frame. literally took 2 minutes to install. A couple of drops of your favorite thread lock on the bolts and your on your way. The MRP XCg V2 is lightweight (93g with bolts) and sturdy. I’ve used MRP’s bash guards in the past and they have not disappointed. Although I haven’t hit anything yet, I find myself a little more aggressively since I no longer worry about wrecking my drivetrain on rocks. Great protection by Joss75, 29 September 2016, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Previously used the version with the incorporated chain guide but I moved that onto a new race bike. This left me wanting some sort of protection for my trail bike. As this version (without the chain guide) is much less money (40-50) it was an easy decision. Chain drops are so unlikely these days with narrow-wide rings and clutched derailleurs and of little consequence on a leisure ride. Very well made and sturdy. Already taken a few knocks and shrugged them off with ease. Important to me as my bikes have very low bottom brackets. Pros: strong simple easy to install Cons: maybe a little expensive I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
