Jury is out…. by Skyboy, 29 June 2017, 67 out of 70 people found this review helpful These replaced my 10 y/o Shimano xtr pedals which with the occasional re-greese have been faultless (with out doubt the most reliable bit of kit i have purchased).I wanted a pedal with more of a platform without going to a flat pedal,I liked to be clipped in and it ticks all the boxes in that respect.However i have had to take the pedal apart already and re-grease,not one for winter use i suspect,time will tell; if it lasts half as long as the shimanos I’ll be pleased. Had these now for two weeks. The build seems really good. Time will tell. The cage/plattform is big enough to give you support when not clipped in. But not as burly as a DH clippless. I found it easier to clip in with these compared to my old Shimano PD-M530. The only design flaw is the plate for cleat and the length of the screws that comes with the Nukeproof pedals. The plate is thicker compared to the Shimano plate and the screws is a bit shorter. This makes it impossible to attach to my Shimano AM45 shoes. Not even close of getting a grip to the shoe. Glad I had the Shimano plate and screws to attach the cleat with. Pros: good support easy to clip in and out good construction Cons: cleat plate short screws to the cealt plate I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
