Excellent by Trailbuilder2017, 25 January 2018, 20 out of 22 people found this review helpful Recently fitted these to my trail/enduro bike and have so far been very impressed. The pictures do not do these wheels justice, out of the box and in hand they are very smart. The copper colour of the hubs is a nice change from the norm and the matt finish of the rims gives an understated but quality look. Subtle branding as well means they are not too in your face with a clean appearance. In the box with the wheels is spare spokes, tubeless valves and the rims are already taped for tubeless. You can also install these with tubes but they were a piece of cake setting up with a tubeless tyre. One blast with a tubeless pump and a few pumps of air and the tyre was seated no problems. The 29mm rim gives a wider tyre profile with my Schwalbe tyres, this is noticeable with a more comfortable ride. Riding the wheels, they have been flawless. Considering the sensible weight of the wheels, they are remarkably strong. A few heavy cases and rock strikes have not caused any issues. The rims have stayed true, no dings and the spokes have remained tight. What impressed me most was the rear hub. The freewheel engages incredibly fast. As soon as you stamp on the pedals you are going. The 84 clicks give a reassuring, fast and reliable engagement. Another thing about the wheels is stiffness, there is no noticeable flex. Aim the wheels and they will go where you want, but this stiffness hasn’t resulted in a harsh none compliant wheel. For the cash you are not going to get a better wheel, these are as good as trail wheels in the å£500+ price bracket and they will not come with the spares and tubeless kit. Awesome wheels! by Chris, 5 February 2018, 16 out of 17 people found this review helpful I bought a 2018 Nukeproof Mega full suspension frame which is boost so I needed to find new wheels to go on the frame. After doing some research I decided to give these Nukeproof wheels a go to match my other Nukeproof parts / frame. I have been using these wheels for about a month now and have found them fantastic. The wheels arrive with tubeless rim tape installed so it means that you can get straight to setting them up tubeless without having to waste time fitting rim tape. There are also tubeless valves and 8 spare spokes included in the box so if the worst does happen you can easily repair your wheel. When you spin the rear wheel you hear an amazing buzz from the freehub which is somewhere between the sound of a Hope and a Chris King rear hub. With 84 points of engagement the pickup is almost instant. I have mounted some 2.35Û Maxxis Highroller II tyres and the tyre profile sits nicely on the rims. Seating the tyres was also very easy and one blast with a tubeless pump had the tyre seated then I just put in my desired pressure. Having rode some fairly rough trails I am pleased to say there all spokes are still tight and the wheel is still completely true – needless to say I donÛªt think IÛªll be needing the spare spokes anytime soon! It seems to be fairly common practise for spokes in new wheels to come loose after a few rides but it seems that these wheels have been pre-stressed when they were being built. I opted for the black hub option so the wheels are pretty stealth looking on my bike and look fantastic. These wheels will definitely give some of the other brands out there a run for their money and I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a great value trail ready wheelset.
