THE grippiest thinnest pedals I’ve used so far………. by Ihatenicknames, 24 July 2017, 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful Having bough yet another bike I now needed another set of flats and these new pedals from OneUp caught my eye. I was wanting something very thin, grippy, good quality bearings and did not want to spend a fortune. I’m currently using either Spank Spike offering or the Gamut Podium pedal which are both thin and grippy. On my first initial test ride I found these to offer amazing levels of grip when used with my 5Ten shoes, in fact with normal everyday shoes these are still the grippiest pedals I’ve used to date. This is due to the pins being longer and thinner as well as having an extra pin on the outside of the pedal which the Podiums do not. So far only time will tell if these rip the soles of my shoes apart due to the aggressive nature of the pins, but this is to be expect if you want your feet planted securely. One small issue is on the left pedal the bearings have become rough which I’m hoping that after only half a dozen rides will not get any worse, I will be sending a quick email to OneUp to get their response on this. Overall a very good pedal and I would not hesitate to buy another pair as long as the bearing issue does not become a problem Pros: the grippiest pedals to far.. very thin fairly light expensive but good value Cons: slightly rough bearing in one pedal I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Very long sharp pins by Mojo3, 14 September 2017, 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful 362g out of the box. Pins long and sharp, they can be replaced with grub screws as the thread is the same. Pedal body is very thin 11mm at middle 8mm at front and back. 113mm front to back 100mm usable width. Pins stick out 5mm from pedal body. I am planning to play around with the pins to get a concave feeling by fitting short pins in the centre Pros: light I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
