Good value deep rim disc wheels by DR03K, 15 August 2016, 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful Brilliant wheels, have been researching wheels for awhile and almost purchased some hunt wheels, but really wanted deeper profile and carbon. Instead of paying another å£500+ for fulcrums / zipps I gave these a go. Approx 60 miles done, wheels are great. Only slight issue is with TRP Spyres, wasn’t enough spoke clearance to ride without occasional spoke rub – simple å£2 rotor shim should resolve this and provide correct alignment. (Apparently this is a typical issue with TRP disc brakes). Pros: lightweight aero look great value for money Cons: needed a shim for trp brakes I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Looks are deceiving by Borderfox, 11 April 2018, 4 out of 6 people found this review helpful Looked great on the web and in person, seemed to be well made and lots of bits in the box with them (spare spokes, axle adapters and such) but no centre locks for the brake rotors. Mounted them on the bike and after the spin noticed a squeaking noise which sounded like the wheel was rubbing but I traced it to the rear wheel offside hub. The bearing seal was rubbing on the hub slowing the wheel down. Used a small amount of oil to quieten it and that noise has disappeared after about 1000km At a recent sportive I had a problem with the rear skewer, the lever was in the locked position and tightened up correctly but the screw in part on the far side was loose and I only noticed this when getting out of the saddle when the wheel started to move laterally. I readjusted the wheel and carried on only for it to happen after another 15km, this persisted until the end and upon inspection of the rear wheel there was scratching on the rim surface where it had contacted the frame. The screw in part of the skewer is quite thin and maybe this is the cause of the problem I had. Im cycling for over 10 years and never had an issue like this Pros: looks weight Cons: accessories quality longevity? I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
