Addix not as expected by HKMTB15FL, 17 March 2018, 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful Having been a longtime Hans Damph user (TrailStar front, PaceStar rear) I naturally was looking forward to trying the new compound that claimed to be more durable; I WAS Very DISAPPOINTED. I managed two 3~4mm rips alongside two separate lugs within 60 minutes of riding the Addix SpeedGrip in the rear, on a familiar but rocky trail. I was lucky I poured 100ml of sealant when installing it: the two rips finally sealed after about 20 minutes of constant pumping, after spewing much sealant over the frame, my shoes, my jersey and on the trail. While it worked, it had similar grip and rolled well, just like the PaceStar. However, I would not buy it again considering the weaker construction and higher pricing than PaceStar.
