Great but heavy by down0050, 13 March 2017, 10 out of 10 people found this review helpful This is something some folks really should invest in – if you’re heavy, clumsy or you like running especially low pressures it’s a great solution. It’s not even hard to install if you follow the instructions. Schwalbe stuff is high quality, and it comes with the best tire levers ever, and clever bead slip solution… But it feels heavy, and it’s a pain in the butt to adjust pressures. In nasty, wet and rocky conditions it can feel amazing to run super low psi, but as soon as you remove it from your wheels you feel like a speed demon. It’s messy as well, and sealant seems to stick to the inner tire which makes changing tires a sloppy affair. Pros: nothing else like it low pressures in messy conditions no rim dings Cons: heavy annoying to deal with expensive I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
Doesn’t offer the protection one would hope. by Chuckza, 11 March 2018, 4 out of 6 people found this review helpful I’ve been running ProCore for over a year now and have been mostly impressed with the additional grip resulting from running at reduced tire pressures and protection offer against pinch punctures. However, the primary reason I installed it was to protect rims (carbon) from sudden tire deflation events. I gashed a sidewall on a tire today going through a rock garden at fair speed and the tire deflated instantly. ProCore did not manage to protect the rim against damage and my rim is toast. I would find it very hard justifying the cost of this product plus the added (rotating) weight on wheels just for increased grip and protection against pinch punctures, so in my experience, would not recommend this product. Pros: increased grop protection against pinch punctures Cons: increased rotating weight does not protect rims on sudden tire deflation I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
